The 90's American soap show, Melrose Place which had many viewers stuck on to it went offline due to high production costs in 1999 after completing Seven Seasons.

The media and fans like us are shocked by the news of Chris Brown allegedly assaulting his pop-star girlfriend Rihanna.

Looking at the battered face of Rihanna whose is just 21 years reminds me of the many women who are exploited and beaten up by their boyfriends or husbands. Many of them just reluctant to seek help or voice their fears.

In my opinion Rihanna should step forward and make a stand against abuse by men, be it Chris Brown or any other celebrity or a common man. Perhaps start a help group or society where such battered and abused women can seek help and advice.

I wouldnt be wrong if am to say this is just a repetition of the movie 'Sleeping with the Enemy' where Julia Roberts AKA 'Laura' is beaten day in and day out by her husband in their 4 years of marriage.

So dear Rihanna, my advice would be 'do not be a real life Julia Roberts as in Sleeping with the Enemy'.

Lyme Disease

Lyme disease (borreliosis) is a tick-borne illness, it is an emerging infectious disease caused by at least three species of bacteria belonging to the genus Borrelia. Transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks.

Early manifestations of infection may include skin rash (erythema migrans), fever, headache, fatigue and depression. Lyme disease is not contagious from an affected person to another person. Left untreated, late manifestations involving the joints, heart and nervous system can occur.

The serological laboratory tests most widely used are the Western blot and ELISA.

The antibiotics of choice for treatment of Lyme disease are doxycycline, cefuroxime, cefotaxime, amoxicillin.

There are many non-profit foundations dedicated to public education about the prevention and treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

Late Heath Ledger received an Oscar

Heathcliff Andrew Ledger was born on 4th April 1979, to Sally Ledger(a French teacher) and Kim Ledger(an engineer). He grew up in Perth, Australia.

Ledger’s first Hollywood film was the romantic comedy '10 Things I Hate About You'.The movie 'Brokeback Mountain' got him much attention. He died of an accidental overdose of prescription medication on 22nd January 2008 at the tender age of 28. Ledger was discovered dead and naked by a housekeeper and a masseuse who had arrived for a regular appointment in his rented apartment in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood.

Ledger is survived by a 3 year old daughter Matilda Rose.

Ledger's performance in Batman- The Dark Knight won a Golden Globe award for best supporting actor earlier in january 2009.
